Cows of the Thar Desert

A week in the Thar Desert was nothing like I imagined.

I had visualised a long sand path leading into vast open spaces of nothing but sand and sand dunes where nothing survived.

On the contrary, the desert is full of life. We came upon Vultures, Peacocks, Kites, Drongos, Indian Rollers and a handful of other birds that I haven’t identified, Foxes, Blackbucks, Antelopes and hundreds of thousands of domesticated farm animals belonging to the people living there.

In the coming weeks, I will bring you all the updates about our camels, campsites, the food etc. and exotic fables from the Thar Desert.
